Education and Events
We are committed to providing continued education and sharing knowledge and best practice in cardiology and the medical sciences more broadly. We strive to stay connected and engaged with our partners and referrers.

As an organisation, we host an annual educational programme (remote and physical meetings) comprising Practice & Clinic CPD Sessions aimed at GPs including: lectures, webinars, training days, in-practice CPD and MDT sessions.
We also host a biennial 'Cardiovascular Enterprise & Innovation Conference’ to discuss best practice and new innovations in the delivery of cardiac services.

General Practice CPD Sessions
Our Consultants are dedicated to sharing their expertise through trainings and presentations on the latest findings and practices in their sub-specialties, and we are always looking for new ways to become involved in the communities we serve.

We can deliver training sessions in your practice or clinic, during times that are convenient to you, and on topics that are relevant and of interest.

This may be updates on new NICE guidelines, complex case management discussions, or a refresh on managing direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs).
We can come to you and can issue certificates for CPD requirements.
Cardiovascular Enterprise & Innovation Conference
As part of our continued commitment to education, we will be hosting a biennial international cardiovascular conference to encourage enterprise and innovation in the area of cardiovascular disease.

Enterprise and innovation are the life blood of economies, and over a two-day programme we hope the forum will lead to the exchange of ideas and their translation into new devices, techniques and services that will benefit our patients.

Supporting the NHSDorset Heart Clinic income supports the NHS. The business model is based upon keeping private work within The Royal Bournemouth Hospital so that income can be used to benefit frontline NHS clinical services – supporting clinical staff and allowing the NHS to purchase new equipment. We believe this is an important point of differentiation between ourselves and the traditional private hospital model.
-
Leading TechnologyTechnology plays a crucial role in healthcare. And the latest technology is required for the best care. For this reason, we use the latest cutting-edge medical equipment and software in the field, from patient examinations to diagnosis to treatments.
-
Safety of the NHSWe believe high quality and safe healthcare go hand in hand. Our location within the Royal Bournemouth Hospital provides our patients with the knowledge that they have on-site access to the very best staff and clinical resources 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Private hospitals often lack these resources and therefore require an emergency transfer policy with their nearest NHS hospital – this is why we are proud to offer Care without Compromise.
-
Quick and Easy AccessAny health condition can be stressful, so we strive to offer quick and easy access to all our services. From same-day appointments to speedy results—rapid diagnosis to effective treatment; we aim to bring our patients peace of mind.
