Dorset Heart Clinic Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Top UK Cardiologists

We provide a safe, friendly and comfortable environment for patients and their families at what we recognise is a vulnerable time in their lives. Our services are designed and delivered to suit the patient, never forgetting that each person is individual and has specific emotional as well as clinical needs.

The Dorset Heart Clinic provides a best-of-both-worlds approach: access to expert care from top UK cardiologists and the very highest standards of patient service, combined with the confidence of being in an NHS hospital with the vast array of specialist equipment and resources often lacking in a private hospital – we deliver the highest standards of safety and quality without compromise.

Dorset Heart Clinic and Regent's Park Healthcare Partnership

Our Partnership

Dorset Heart Clinic is a formal partnership between The Royal Bournemouth and University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust and an independent company called Regent’s Park Healthcare. The partnership between the two organisations’ ensures that private patients receive the best-of-both-worlds: world-class specialist care and the very highest standard of service, together with the confidence of being in the NHS with its safety-net of services on hand. It also allows profits from the treatment of private patients to be re-invested back into frontline NHS care.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide world-class cardiac services using a specialist model that leverages innovation, the best-in-knowledge clinical pathways and smarter operating processes.

Our specialist model re-engineers healthcare delivery and creates value in several ways.

Scale, standardisation and repetition of best practices increases operational efficiency. Staff are allowed to focus on doing a few things well as opposed to being stretched over multiple conditions. Concentrating efforts in our single specialty leads to a virtuous circle whereby we accumulate experience, improve safety, reduce cost and ultimately deliver better patient outcomes.

World-class Cardiac Services
Our Leadership Team

We are a team of top-tier healthcare managers, doctors, scientists and allied health professionals who are committed to transforming care, expanding access, improving quality and reducing costs.

We take huge pride in our twenty-year track record of delivering cardiac care, through excellent service, efficient operations management, well trained staff, and uncompromising professionalism.
