He was appointed a Consultant Cardiologist in 1988 and was Cardiac Lead of the Dorset Heart Centre till 2012. Dr Rozkovec is the recipient of a National Award for developing and leading the cardiac services locally. He has been a member of the European Heart Rhythm Association Certification Committee for Cardiac Pacing and was a member of the European Society of Cardiology Task Force for training and accreditation in lead extraction. He is President and a Trustee of the Bournemouth Heart Club, a registered charity set up under his guidance to serve the long-term needs of patients requiring cardiac rehabilitation. The Club is housed in a dedicated building on the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site, providing care for both NHS patients and post-NHS patients.
